Just my 2 cent: for DSD, I set the ultra high frequency limit to 38700 which is lower than the ultra noise frequency of the 128 DSD (around 40 kHz and above). I stay safe with this setting and do not miss any high details. 36000 is also ok though.

There are cases where someone may happen to upsample music to very high rate like 8x or 16x. Neutron processes the music accurately but the dac itself cannot accept those rates (it supports those rates with re-designed hardware but the the native dac chip only supports up to 4x as per technical spec...

This is exactly the option of Setting/Service (Keep process running in background). I have been a long-term user of Neutron, so I rather know about that.

As far as I know, this may be due to there exist playlist (like cue file) having songs with same title as splitted music files within that folder. When scanning new music folder, Neutron will recognize all the songs twice in the folder. I experienced this some times and after deleting the cue file a...

I recently upgraded to version 2.18 and it sounds to me that the music is better with a bit fuller and more dynamic.

Unfortunately, the app is forced stop when trying to play .ape format. Could you please help see and fix the issue.

Yes, like the first one. I also enable normalization for each of my music folders, each folder is a full album. This function helps avoid any clipping at peak. Music is still dynamic but smooth and analog. Try it and you may discover new sound from your existing music.

Based on my listening experiences, Bauer DSP makes sound less expansive, less dynamic and more boring. I guess Meier DSP may be more helpful. Eager to try when available.
