Library refresh from network drive takes days
Well ok not quite days but usually 36 hours or so. I have a 2tb usb drive plugged into my router as my source, it's reliable and fast, as is my network. When I start a media sources refresh on my two tablets, I just have to plug them in and go on holiday. I have noticed that, very occasionally, one ...

FRC causes freeze
Hi All, re: latest neutron version on android 9 tablet. I recently discovered FRC and set it to use my headphone model via the github option and it seems to work quite well apart from fairly regular lock ups where the equalizer graph maxes out on all frequencies and the app locks up. There is usuall...

Ok much appreciated.
The hiby music app requires a subscription for mqa.

Re: Fiio M11 Pro DSD256 Works! How is MQA Handled?
Thanks for the reply, I'm getting to the edges of my knowledge here but does that mean neutron can't just give mqa to a mqa supporting device and let it handle it? Mqa is encoded inside a flac and then converted to pcm and then to dsd, assuming the leg bone is connected to the thigh bone... Sheesh. ...

Mqa on ifi nano black label
Hi all, I have a local mqa file (in flac) and neutron correctly identifies it as mqa and plays ok. However, my ifi dac should show a purple light for mqa but it remains white. I have direct usb access enabled, but is neutron doing the unfolding rather than passing it to the dac? Confused I be... Tha...

Re: Play music in folder by date
Just bumping this, I have a top level music directory which I'd like to be able to view in date order so that I can see recent additions. I tried long press on the folder, then setup->sort by->Time (File), but it didn't seem to change anything. Currently, I have to have another Directory New_Stuff a...

Background service
In settings, service there's an option to keep running in the background. Is this to continue playing music whilst the user does something on another app, or for when the screen goes off, or for refresh of music sources? I'd like to be confident that I can set a source to refresh and forget about it ...
