iBasso DX160 does not have any OS effects.
All sound effects on both S7 and Note9 are disabled manually.
I created a flat FRC preset by choosing "EQ Presets (Default)" -> "4-Band Parametric (Default)". The sound on all 3 devices with this profile is the same as when the FRC is completely off.

Re: FRC's strange behavior
In Neutron I use FRC only. Maybe I didn't described it correctly enough, but the issue is that when using these parameters in Neutron's FRC I get a completely different sound compared to using these same parameters in PowerampEQ or EqualizerAPO (the last two, at least "by ear", sound the same as lon...

FRC's strange behavior
Hi. I'm using a profile that is a derivative of "bit-perfect" (made with "Duplicate" option) with FRC enabled (calibration for 7Hz Timeless by oratory1990). The FRC profile is as follows: Preamp: -10 dB 1. Peaking Fc 14 Hz Gain -7.6 dB Q 0.4 2. Peaking Fc 70 Hz Gain -9 dB Q 0.35 3. Low-Shelf Fc 110 ...

UI Suggestion: Battery & Clock
I use Neutron on iBasso DX160 in full-screen mode, because Android navigation buttons are wasting too much space, and also not really required when doing anything in the app (except keyboard). Enabling full-screen mode also means that status bar is being hidden as well. So how about implementing a p...

Re: A big problem with FRC and AGP
I tried an experiment. I boosted up the preamp (in a screen on the left from Playing Now) to the limit (+30dB) and did the opposite in FRC (set preamp to -30dB). The resulting signal has no distortion so the DSP here really has infinite headroom.

Re: A big problem with FRC and AGP
I think the main problem here is the fact that FRC Preamp works as "Postamp" But it must not be a problem. As I know, the relative position of preamp and equalization is important when the resulting signal of each stage is integer. I don't really know if the DSP here is fully floating point (result...

Re: A big problem with FRC and AGP
I think the main problem here is the fact that FRC Preamp works as "Postamp" (at least as it is shown in the message quote about DSP chain in Neutron). It is just an assumption, I may be wrong. But if the chain would be "Track -> Sub-Mixer (Unchanged) -> Master-Mixer (Stereo Effects -> FRC Preamp ->...

A big problem with FRC and AGP
I tried to use FRC + AGP in Neutron 2.18.5 and got into 2 problems: 1. The "Preamp" knob in FRC is applied *after* the actual equalization in the profile, which causes audible distortion. Also, this distortion is clearly shown on the built-in analyzer (which is on Playing Now screen) as clipping. 2....

Re: Issues with DSD on iBasso DX160
I contacted this email and received an answer that there may be issues with Lurker00's mod. And they were right. I turned off a module called "USB Audio" and now everything works correctly!

[SOLVED] Issues with DSD on iBasso DX160 with Lurker00's Mod
When trying to play a DSD file after playing a PCM file, there is a chance that one of the channels (L or R) will go completely silent. This problem stays until I open a PCM file and then open a DSD file again (and I will need to repeat this process until I get both channels working). The MangoPlaye...
