Bluetooth sound muffled
Bluetooth sound muffled
hi again, sorry for constant topics but I'm just new to using this amazing player on Android, I love it so much, I appreciate all the help with my previous topics, so here's an issue I'm facing with Bluetooth sound, I don't know how to explain this very well but whilst listening to a song, sometimes the sound gets muffled, as if going to the left earbud then adjusting back to the middle of being stereo again, its hard to explain but this doesn't happen with my default Walkman app, I tried disabling all audio effects but I still notice this effect on songs, is there an option I'm missing that would give me direct sound quality through Bluetooth?, thank you.
Re: Bluetooth sound muffled
The only DSP effect that would automatically and temporarily affect volume is AGP, but this wouldn't be Bluetooth-specific.

Did you bind a preset or a profile to Bluetooth or a bt device ? If yes, unbind and try again.
---
Can you have a look on the output info and/or Audio Hardware ? Is there any difference as to the bit-depth between the two states ( meaning between "normal" and "muffled" ) ?

Re: Bluetooth sound muffled
here's the details, I tried unbinding Bluetooth profile then binding again but it still gives that muffle stereo, its very weird like the vocals comes stronger in the left earbud then come back to balance after a few seconds and comes back again, I don't know if you've experienced what I'm talking about, please let me know any ways that I could possibly fix this, maybe I'm unbinding in a wrong way, please guide me.
Re: Bluetooth sound muffled
I see that you use "OpenSL ES" as driver, that is you havn't activated Audio Hardware > Generic Driver, wil would be the default. You try to activate Generic Driver ( which will then show AudioTrack instead of OpenSL ) which is the default and what the developer thinks better. There's a default button on the Audio Hardware Settings ( below, middle ), perhaps you should set everything to defaults.
Re: Bluetooth sound muffled
you're a genius!!, just changed to to Generic Driver and now using AudioTrack, disconnected my Bluetooth headset and reconnected and no muffling sound, thank you so much!!!
Re: Bluetooth sound muffled
oops, that didn't last long, the imbalance sound is back, even after putting all settings to default, it only lasted for 1 song!, any other ideas?
Re: Bluetooth sound muffled
I suggest you contact neutronmp@gmail.com and ask them how best to analyze this.
Re: Bluetooth sound muffled
will do, thanks, it seems the Sony Walkman NW-A100 is the problem because once I tried playing on my S20 FE there's no issue.
