Change volume from smartphone button

Hi, I'm a new user of Neutron Player.
I have installed the player in my pixel 6 and I use the HTC external DAC with my wired headphones.
My problem is that it's not possible for me to change the volume with the smartphone's buttons or with the headphones buttons only when the phone is locked.
If I unlock the screen and I open the app player then I can adjust the volume.
Any solution?

You could try some settings, e.g. Audio Hardware > Direct USB Access and its submenues.

Thanks for your reply.
I have done so many tests but nothing as changed.
I can only change the volume if the app is open.
if I have the app in the background and I click the volume buttons I see the default phone bar go down or up but the audio in the headphones does not change.

Feel free to contact neutronmp@gmail.com , perhaps the hardware isn't fully supported.
