how to upsample everything below 96khz but leave everything above on 1x

I am finding my recordings of 44.1 sound significantly better upsampled 2X to 88.2

And meanwhile recordings of 96 kHz sounding best not upsampled.

I’m managing to accomplish this by setting the upsample setting to 2X and putting a frequency limit of 96 that way the 96 doesn’t get upsampled — all working well — but that is also causing 192khz material to get downsampled to 96khz

i would like the 192khz left alone automatically along with the 96khz

Is there a way to tell the program the only thing I want to accept sampled is everything below 96khz and if it’s 96khz or above leave it 1x?

No, there isn't. But you might try to oversample 4x and limit to 192 kHz.
