[FIXED] Playlist naming issue

Post by haxorus33 » Tue Mar 11, 2014 12:42 am

Hi,

I appear to be having trouble renaming my playlists. The keyboard freezes momentarily when I try to backspace (but I can type/add letters, I just can't delete). I don't seem to have this typing problem with other apps. I'm using Cyanogenmod 11, if that makes a difference. Thanks.

Hi! The problem is in standard (stock) soft-keyboard in recent Android OS releases. It can be easily fixed by installing any 3-rd party and more advanced soft-keyboard. Unfortunately fixing from Neutron side is not yet possible as Neutron's UI is rendered by own OpenGL UI engine and thus standard Android UI classes are not used. There is no API to tell to stock soft-keyboard that there are symbols present to unlock the backspace button. I personally do not know why backspace is blocked by default anyway...

Thanks! It works now after switching the input method from Android Keyboard (AOSP) to Google Keyboard (or anything other than stock keyboard).
