Normalization settings disappear

In the past month, I have run normalization on my collection three times, which, with 5000+ tracks, can take a day and a half. Before I ran it the third time, I made sure to create another folder for the settings, as suggested by the developer. Now I see again that the tracks are showing up without those adjustments. I checked the option to apply "Replay Gain" and it was still "on".

I love the app and think it is by far the best sounding music player out there. I guess I will have to be content without track normalization.

Did you have normalization applied before that? If yes, then when you create alternative folder for settings Neutron will start with default setup as if you just installed it. You need to copy old settings files to a new alternative folder from /Android/data/com.neutroncode.mp

Dmitry, thanks for the reply...

I did run normalization to all tracks first. Since I had this problem before, I searched to find an answer to the problem. I checked the FAQ page and saw this:

"Q: After uninstallation and then reinstallation I have all my settings lost, is it possible to avoid that?

A: To avoid loosing your settings follow these steps:

- Android OS: close Neutron process, create folder NeutronMP in /sdcard to get /sdcard/NeutronMP, copy all files from /sdcard/Android/data/com.neutroncode.mp to /sdcard/NeutronMP, start Neutron, Neutron will use /sdcard/NeutronMP. "

I set everything up as mentioned in that FAQ message.

Everything seemed fine, then a couple weeks later...no more normalization on the tracks in my library. Is there anything more I can do to retain these settings?

Thanks again for your attention to this!

Hmmm... if normalization settings were lost then the only another reason can be - modified location of the source folders. Thus the internal GUIDs of the tracks changed that resulted in loss. The only way unfortunately - repeat normalization again.

Thanks, Dmitry, for looking into this! This is still the most essential app for listening to music, regardless of my problems with the normalization issue..
