clicks and pops

Since the latest update, the music reproduction suffers from occasional clicking and popping noise. As a control, I tried other players and found that it was not my hardware, an HTC desire 816. All I know it's that I have been using this software for a few years now and I have never had this problem....until this morning, after updating. I wish that I had left it the way it was.
