How can I stop preamp from being reset on every track back to 0?
AGP, EQ and Replay Gain are turned off.
UPD solved by removing EQ presets and enabling EQ, why did it matter with EQ disabled?
preamp reset on every track
Re: preamp reset on every track
So normally the preamp isn't reset after each track ?
I never set it manually, so I have to ask.
Sorry, what do you mean by that ? What is "UPD" and why has it to be solved ?
Re: preamp reset on every track
As to the preamp : I played around a bit, it doesn't generally reset after the track changes.
Each EQ preset has its own preamp value. When EQ isn't active yet another - let's call it default -
preamp value is used, which can solely be controlled by the slider
( and which therefore I'm hardly able to reset to exatly 0.0 - anybody knows how to set this other than by slider ? ).
There's a setting "Hardware Gain". When enabled and preamp button inactive, the slider shows the DAC gain. When disabled and preamp button inactive, the slider shows yet another ( sort of ) preamp settings
with which I can reduce the volume. But which isn't "the" preamp setting.

Re: preamp reset on every track
Sorry for the confusion. "UPD" stands for "Update:", meaning that I've updated my original post saying that the issue got resolved once I removed EQ presets.
To restate my original question: I had EQ presets registered for all of my tracks (via Normalization), but I had EQ disabled, as well as AGP and "Replay Gain" disabled too. I then manually lowered preamp value, but it got reset back to 0 on every track change. I'd like to know why.
This stopped happening once I removed EQ presets from the tracks, my preamp value stayed the same on track changes.
Thanks

Re: preamp reset on every track
So is would seem that when you connect an EQ preset with a track the eq's preamp value still is used even if the EQ is not active
