I got it fixed in the end.

I came to the conclusion that the problem was the M7 firmware, which is buggy/laggy and doesn't show what's happening because of the minimal Android version.

I purchased through PayPro for my M6, downloaded the .apk. I followed the instructions in the FAQ and it activated without any problems.

I have had a number of audio players on a number of Android devices and this is by far the best player I have ever used. The equalizer, AGP, etc. gives me a lot of flexibility on the M6.

I'm not affected, but they probably will have installed the newest firmware, perhaps from this site :

General: Purchase transfer from one platform to another

It is not possible to transfer purchase from one platform to another, app stores do not provide such possibility or interface to the app developers.

Q: I purchased Neutron on one platform can I use it on another?

A: Unfortunately not, every platform (Android, iOS, Windows) has own independent app store and except Android the license verification is done by platform (iOS, Windows), so it is not possible to somehow link purchases.

You will need to buy Neutron for every platform.

Please do not consider purchase for another platform as duplicate payment because every platform requires a considerable development effort to support it including: platform upgrades, API migration and compliance to some emerging rules and requirements from the platform provider (Google, Apple, Microsoft, ...) and etc. By paying for a platform you support Neutron's development for that platform.

You might find a firmware patch for the Fiio device that would enable you to install the Google Play Services, but this would not be simple. But risky. If you find one.

It affects the FiiO M6

I downloaded all the .apk files from Neutroncode.com under generic section and tried to install. I noticed negatively that the NeutronMP_ARM64.apk cannot be installed. Why is that?

I looked it up, so I googled it:

At FiiO, it says that the processor is an Exynos 7270 14nm, 2 cores.

I checked and the processor in the FiiO M6 is said to be an Exynos 7270. It is said to be 64-bit capable and ARMv8 is also in the details. 14 nm, 2 cores.

I'm wondering what is actually the case. Is there no Exynos 7270 installed in the FiiO M6? Or has FiiO somehow restricted this Exynos 7270 on the software side, so that 64-bit apps cannot be installed / work at all? Or has the NeutronMP_ARM64.apk not been carefully adapted for the FiiO M6?


Because the NeutronMP_ARM64.apk can´t be installed on the FiiO M6, i checked out on the NeutronMP.apk and NeutronMP_NEON.apk :

Now i installed the NeutronMP.apk . The neutron app, under Audio Hardware, CPU says: ARMv8 + NEON | (32-bit) [#2]
