I see this listed in the app description on the play store but there is no option for it in settings.
And crossfade doesn't work either.
Whats up?
Wheres the true gapless feature?
Re: Wheres the true gapless feature?
Gapless means the player doesn't produce gaps where the music hasn't any. No need to switch that on. Might be explicitly included in the tags.
As to crossfade : could you provide some information ? Perhaps a screenshot of your relevant settings ?

Re: Wheres the true gapless feature?
I hear gaps in my music when cross fade is on that's why I think neither work. I'm at work ATM but I can sort of remember the cross fade settings I have on. It's about a half second in and a bit longer on the out.

Re: Wheres the true gapless feature?
The Gaps typically are artifacts due to the compression process.
Meaning, they are part of the track, and won't be removed with gapless playing.
See
http://wiki.hydrogenaud.io/index.php?ti ... s_playback
and try the test files mentioned there, to be downloaded from
http://tiffman.com/gtkpod/gapless_WAVPA ... _right.zip
These files are without gaps and should be played without gaps, fading or no fading.
If you have files which you think should play gapless but don't do so,
write to the developer at neutronmp@gmail.com and send him some
short examples.
Re: Wheres the true gapless feature?
I recently bought a CD box set with classic music from Amazon including mp3 downloads. I donwloaded the mp3 and didn't get a smooth transition between the songs. I wondered whether it might be Neutron's fault or due to Amazons vbr encoding. When the CDs arrived I ripped them to lame-V0-vbr-mp3 ... and now I've got a true gapless performance ! Meaning when gapless doesn't work it might be due to the music and not the player.
