How to Connect to Readdle Documents folder?
I have all my 4000+ mp3 tracks in Readdle's "Documents" app. (Documents>My Files>My Music mp3s). Whatever I do I can't find it in Neutron. I don't use iTunes. How do I set the folder in Readdle "Documents" as a source? The navigation process in Neutron is unbelievably user-unfriendly!

What phone and os are we talking about ? Do you see the data in a file manager, e.g. the Samsungs "My Files" App ? What happens when you add this directory ? Can you add any directory as source at all ?John Dylan wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 4:32 amI have all my 4000+ mp3 tracks in Readdle's "Documents" app. (Documents>My Files>My Music mp3s). Re: How to Connect to Readdle Documents folder?
I am on iPhone 12 running iOS 15.5
I would like to access the music folders I have in the Documents Readdle folder. It appeared that this player can do this from the description but I can’t figure out how

Re: How to Connect to Readdle Documents folder?
Sorry, I don't see that this would be supposed to work. Where does this appear to be promised ?
Re: How to Connect to Readdle Documents folder?
IOS only allows an app to read from documents within its’ own folder. You would need to move or copy your Music folder from where it is now (Readle?) to the Neutron folder.
This is not a Neutron limitation, but an enforced Apple rule.
Re: How to Connect to Readdle Documents folder?
Thanks for the answer - I was under the assumption that Neutron could pull music from the Documents folder in iPhone. Because it says in the app description:
“ Supports iTunes library (non DRM) and local files (inside /Documents folder)
So I read that to mean local folders inside the /Documents folder.
iOS DOES allow reading inside the /Documents folder as I use Bound (a great player with everything but an equalizer) all the time and Bound reads folders stored under the /Documents. No apple restrictions. I can MOVE a folder into the Neutron folder but that defeats the storages and then nothing else can access that folder. Bound would be perfect if it just had an equalizer. But perhaps I misunderstood your answer?

It appears to be promised in this line (from the actual app description on the Apple app store:
“ Supports iTunes library (non DRM) and local files (inside /Documents folder)
That sure spells it out to me. I use the Bound player app and it can pul local files from the /Documents folder, no problem.
Re: How to Connect to Readdle Documents folder?
That is a standard option to show that the app supports file transfer to the Documents folder. But it is still limited to the folder for that app. If you bae another that works outside of its’ exclusive folder, that is outside of Apple’s design scope. There are many other player apps I have used including Foobar, Ever Play, Kaiser, and others. All are limited to work within their folder.Sterhill wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 5:23 amIt appears to be promised in this line (from the actual app description on the Apple app store:
