Unstable taps (Android)
Hi!
I have the problem with overall Neutron UI using. It is very often (say, about 20%) the case when the first tap on this or that control results in nothing. And I need some accent during repeating tapping to get the thing done.
The issue doesn't depend on device or version, it is lasting from the first meeting Neutron. I'm ordinary Android user from 2.3.x ages with standard tap feeling and have not got any problems with other applications.
Is anybody else affected with the problem?

Perhaps you could give some examples for "this or that".student975 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 11:23 amIt is very often (say, about 20%) the case when the first tap on this or that control results in nothing. And I need some accent during repeating tapping to get the thing done.

Re: Unstable taps
It can be on-off switch (that is a red or black circle)(the most frequent case), or check/cancel icons in the bottom of configuration or other dialog, and so on. Probably tap zones are too tiny, aren't they?
Re: Unstable taps
Well, any finger should be bigger than the tap zone of a checkbox, so the latter being small shouldn't matter.student975 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 11:52 amIt can be on-off switch (that is a red or black circle)(the most frequent case), or check/cancel icons in the bottom of configuration or other dialog, and so on. Re: Unstable taps
Neutron doesn't use the standard Android UI, it is a portable app with portings on Android, Windows, iOS, Blackberry.student975 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 12:25 pmAt any case it seems Neutron uses some tap-handling customisaion being not in par with standard Android UI. Would be great to fix it.

Re: Unstable taps
Neutron will never be in par with Android UI. It has nothing to do with Android UI. Porting doesn't mean - in neutrons case and as far as I know - invoking of android's, windows' or iOS' UI-elements, but showing the completely independent application on top of the UI.student975 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 12:39 pmThanks for confirming my guess! So some tuning to that porting is needed to be in par with Android.

Re: Unstable taps (Android)
I just mean a replication of the same standard tap feeling. Please, don't be a pedant - the aim is obvious .
Re: Unstable taps (Android)
I'm not being pedantic. Neutron has got it's own look and feel. It won't try to emulate any other UI. When in doubt write to the developer at neutronmp@gmail.com .student975 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 9:26 pmI just mean a replication of the same standard tap feeling.
