I'm one of the people quoted in blaubär's post above.

I checked my SD card, and it is formatted as ExFat, so that's not my problem.

I have still never found a solution. The m3u8 files I get that contain accented characters just won't be recognized by Neutron. I create my playlists in Swinsian, and though they are output as .m3u8 files, they just don't work. This is beyond frustrating.

I suggest you send an example file to neutronmp@gmail.com and ask them to analyze the issue.

Forbidden special characters in directory and file names

Post by Arne.Armelian » Thu Jul 29, 2021 9:25 pm

:?: I have encountered the following problem:
The name of an album, and thus the directory, contains a % character. When trying to play a track, an error message came up. At first I thought the files were corrupted, but other applications played them without problems.
Then I got the idea to remove the % sign from the name, and then it worked.
But I would like to use the title as in the original with the %.
Is that possible somehow? After all, it's not a problem with other applications.
Thanks, Arne

I suggest you ask neutronmp@gmail.com about that, other people also have complained about problems with special characters.
