Automatic Starting, Stopping, Interrupting

While listening to music, pressing the back key on the device does not end completely.

Music keeps playing in the background

I find it cumbersome to something to exit the NEUTRON APP from the lock screen.

I want to exit right from the playback screen.

What is the method????

That is the intended behaviour. The playing of the music is supposed to be independent of the graphical user interface.
The back key exits the GUI, not the music.
If you want to stop the music while on the playing screen, use the stop button.
If you are not on the playing screen, invoke the playing screen.

As to the lock screen : that can be configured in Settings > User Interface > Lock Screen

If you want Neutron to start or stop at certain events (e.g. if you not want Neutron to start automatically after the headphones are inserted), then you can configure "Settings > Connection and Controls"

If you want to influence whether Neutron should interrupt playing at certain event (phone call, youtube start, etc) things seem to depend on the operating system.

On Android you can influence that with Settings > Audio Hardware > Audio Focus, also see Managing audio focus

This auto on is driving me crazy. I want the music to start when I select 'play', not on the whim of the app. How to I stop the app from auto-play and how do I turn it off when done???

The options that customize automatic start/stop are found in "Settings > Connection and Controls".

To end all Neutron processes ( which isn't obligatory ) use the operating system's means to close the gui and the notification. The latter will kill the audio playing process.

There's no control in Neutron's gui to manually close it and/or the playing process.
