DLNA over Ethernet tethering on Android

Post by javaman » Fri Apr 02, 2021 3:46 am

Hi all,
here's a question that's maybe not only Neutron specific but Android OS in general.

When i connect a phone (Samsung A50 with Android 11) via USB network card to my PC by lan cable (windows 10) and turn on "Ethernet tethering" on phone - DLNA renderer is not detected on windows (Foobar2000).

On the same system, using WiFi tethering works just fine - Neutron ouputs music to foobar2000 via DLNA.

Looks like Android has disabled UPNP stack over ethernet.

Does anyone have any experience with this situation?
