[SOLVED] Manually added to the folder playlists not read

Post by AaylaSecura » Tue Jun 08, 2021 7:32 am

I’m trying to import playlist files (m3u or m3u8) by copying the files into the playlist directory, then refreshing the playlist in Neutron Player, but it’s not reading them. I know those files are supported because a few times it randomly succeeded: after I closed the app a few times it started displaying some of those playlists and they work fine. But it doesn’t always work and never works immediately after copying them to the folder.

P.S. I’m using the latest version on iOS 14.6

It might be a better idea to put the playlists into another directory, also see

Playlists that you created with Neutron are stored as m3u8 files in an os-dependent directory

Playlist-files that you created otherwise or imported from somewhere may work or not. When in doubt compare the structure and contents with those created with Neutron.

Playlist files have to reside in valid sources in order to be read.

Please note : the playlist may not work properly until you've created at least one playlist with Neutron.

Ooh, I thought that the custom directory containing music sources is not scanned for playlists… My bad. If Input playlists there they are immediately read. Thank you!
