The high res entries are missing ? That would mean that your device doesn't support high res and/or Neutron doesn't fully support your device. What device are we talking about ?

Select some options under the custom format like 24 bit, 32 bit, diect, direct PCM and them come out. You'll have other options.

That would make sense if the device supports high res but Neutron doesn't recognize this. If the device doesn't support high res and you force feed high res audio there's no way to tell what will happen.

My device does support Hi-res, and it specifically has Hi-res audio support via speakers. But it doesn't get automatically recognised by Neutron. That's how I got those options to show up.

Well, if someone has got a device wich supports high-res but isn't supported by Neutron ( and he won't tell us what this device is :D ) he may feel free to contact neutronmp@gmail.com and ask him how to further analyze this ( the type of the mysterious device might then be divulged :D ) .

Well since this isn't my thread, I didn't share. But my device is Poco F3 GT /Redmi K40 Game Enhanced edition.

It has Mediatek Dimensity 1200 SoC. It shows up as 'MTK Hi-Fi' in Poweramp. Goes upto 192 kHz 24 bit via Hi-Res output.

In Neutron, I have to manually set custom format, Freq & Mode.

For my device it is the same (Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra). The Hi-Res Options are only shown if there is something chosen in the Custom Format.
But I do not have the Option "Hi-Res Codec (Direct PCM)". Is that normal?

Afaik the current manual how to use high-resolution-audio on Android is (still) here . If this doesn't work then feel free to contact neutronmp@gmail.com and ask for support. As to the S22 Ultra: is this device installed with the regular Android version for this device ?
