neutron connects bluetooth car audio when told not to

I have neutron on an android phone.

It connects to my car audio via bluetooth.

Even tho in the settings I have made sure it is NOT supposed to auto-connect to the bluetooth, whenever I start the car - neutron automatically wakes up and start playing.

Is there any way to prevent this from happening, even if EVERYTHING in the "playback if output attached" section is UNCHECKED?

You might try "Play if Power Attached" and "Play on Start".

thank you for replying - but no, both of those are set to "off"

Perhaps the car's BT does a media button press - does deactivating "Media Buttons" help ?

thanks but that is already set to "off" as well -

anything that I could see or think of, that might have to do with bluetooth, is set to "off" except for the actual connection itself

Using Samsung A50 with Ford Sync...whenever I start the car and the bluetooth connection is detected, Neutron will automatically start playing, which I do not want happening, as I would prefer to choose what music I want to play and then start it manually. I have "Play if output attached" and "Play if power attached" both turned off in the Connections and Controls section. Ford Sync is updated to the latest version, and I have also disabled Autoplay media on that end of things. I was previously using a GS3 in the same vehicle, and it worked great. Every phone I've had since then has had this problem. I've now got a workaround with the A50, but it's somewhat cumbersome, and I shouldn't have to need it. This is an updated version of a post here from a while back. I can't be the only person experiencing this, so I don't get why the lack of response from developers for the last several years.
