USB-C Dac Volume control

Post by Chocolate_bar_89 » Thu Jan 06, 2022 3:32 pm

Hi, so I got the problem if I connect a USB-C dac to my phone listen to music I got 100 Volume steps in the neutron player and after that I switch to let's say youtube for example and watch a video I get the normal 15 volume steps. Now if I switch back to neutron to listen to some music again, I still have the 15 volume steps and the dac is kinda quiet. The only way to get back the 100 volume steps is to reconnect the dac. Has this something to do with the direct USB access?

My phone is a Fairphone 3 on Stock Android 10 and I have the Hidizs S9 Pro.

Yes, but I have to turn the volume to 100% or it won't get really loud.

So it seems to be an issue with Direct USB. Feel free to tell neutronmp@gmail.com about this.
