Post by jintongje » Wed Apr 13, 2022 4:11 am

I have been using this player for one year. Thanks for good player.
But i have one problems.
In media library, refreshing continues again and again.
Last Month, Neutron used 54G of my mobile data.

How can i stop refreshing Library?
I wanna do it only when i want.

I've got a 2 Tb SSD in a router's USB/samba connection. 6 ore to acquire the catalog: 57422 file *.flac!
Then I start to play, later I switch off everything.
When I restart, it tries an automatic refresh (the SSD has no change). and I have to wait 6 houres again!!

How to solve it?
You can disable automatic refresh in SETTINGS -> MEDIA LIBRARY -> SOURCES. Just un-tick REFRESH.
Also see here: Maintenance of Sources

The checkbox to the right of each entry, which is labelled "Refresh", tells Neutron that it should keep an eye on the underlying directory and its files. When something changes Neutron is supposed to automatically refresh its contents. It might take some time though until this happens. You can manually disable this automatic refresh. Should an error occur while a refresh is taking place, e.g. if the app is shut down, Neutron will disable the affected entry as a precaution.

How is a library refresh affecting your mobile data usage? If the library is on your device or uSD card, it is only refreshing the local data and doesn't require any network access. If you are refreshing a remote library, I guess some data exchange would be likely, but again you aren't actually transferring the file data so 54G is quite high.

To be safe I would disable the automatic refresh as outlined in the previous post.
