I’m interested what settings i should use to feed external usb DAC with pure signal, without any changes to let the DAC do it’s job?
Currently I’m using that:
Bit perfect settings
Re: Bit perfect settings
Well, why not let Neutron do its job, that is the DSP ? Why use Neutron if not for dither, equalizer, frequency response correct, crossfeed etc ?
That said, if you're sure you don't want any DSP done by Neutron : disable everything in "Playback > DSP Effect", and the following in Audio Hardware : Mono, Upmix, Dither, Phase Inversion, Subsonic Filter, Ultrasonic Filter, Oversampling. Activate "Follow Source Frequency" and make sure you get the music's sampling rate as output. Make sure the option activated in "Channels" matches the channels in the music. Make sure "Gain" ( can be seen by deactivating Audio Hardware > Hardware Gain ) is set to 0. Make sure preamp is switched off.
The "Bit-perfect" profile should provide a basis for this - but of course you may have changed this profile, so when in doubt it might be a good idea to first set this profile to defaults and then check everything.
( and of course make sure any device audio dsp settings are deactivated )
Re: Bit perfect settings
Thnx. It seems, I’ve done everything right.
