Song not playing after command via Google Assistant

I'm using Neutron Player 2.21.9 on a Google Pixel 6 running Android 13. When I use Google Assistant to try and play a specific song, Google responds to say it is asking Neutron Player to play the song, then Neutron Player opens, but after that nothing happens. The displayed song remains whatever was playing the last time Neutron Player was used, but it doesn't play anything.

This used to work at some point in the past, but recently it has stopped working. I'm sorry I don't know what changed or when it changed when the problem began.

Any ideas?

Steps to reproduce:
1. Say 'Ok Google, play [name of song].'
2. Google responds with, 'Ok, asking Neutron Player to play [name of song].'
3. Neutron Player opens, displaying the song which was last played/playing when Neutron Player was closed.
4. The displayed song does not play or change.
5. The song requested in step 1 is not displayed or played.
