Hi,
Getting used to the somewhat unfamiliar GUI of Neutron I came to like it more and more
There is one feature that I would really like to have working every time, but I have not been able to figure out how it works
That is about lyrics.
When I playback songs, the lyrics sometimes show up, and sometimes they don't.
How do lyrics works ? Are they retrieved from the metadata or does neutron look for those lyrics on internet ?
I must say that I also use my Raspberry pi4 with runeAudio and the good part about that solution is that it can display Lyrics almost every time.
Where Neutron only does it "randomly"...
Any hint to have lyrics working every time ?
Thanks a lot for oyur wise answers
Regards.
FRED

Re: How do the displaying of "Lyrics" work ?
Hi,
OK. Thanks.
So it is a file or a tag
Not retrievd online like runeAudio does
I'll have to see if I can find a software that retrieves lyrics and adds them to music library automatically.
Would be nice. If you have a hint about such software...
Too bad
Regards.

I once tried musixmatch, that worked well but was rather obtrusive.

Hi,
Musixmatch seems to be something where the artist can give his lyrics s it not ?
I'll try it anyways...
EDIT : I am on the page on Google Play Store : it says "Lyrics from Spotify and YouTube". Not using none of those to listen to music
So far I've found "Lyrics Finder" that has a version for Linux Arch (in AUR repositories).
The problem is that it adds the lyrics as Metadata.
Why is taht a problem ?
For 2 reasons :
- if the files are served by Plex, they hve a problem bveing sent to renderer ;
- if stored in metadata, the lyrics do not change from song to song ; you have to forward them manually...
I think there is probably a way to convert metadata lyrics into .lrc files, but I have to find out how
Regards.
