Player Locks Up on Windows 11

however, the first part of your reply is incorrect/does not pertain to me here. as I stated, I was successfully using NMP with my DAC (even transcoding DSD from .wv on the fly) without incident. it just recently started f'ing up (despite my efforts to reset/set the DSD settings....i know the app well, fyi).

Okay, then what exactly are you playing, DSD format ? Could you provide a test file ?
And what exactly do you want to do, not transform into PCM but deliver as DSD to the DAC ?
And you've switched "Settings > Audio Hardware > DSD, DSD over PCD (DoP)" on, and what sub-settings ?
And what exactly seems wrong - the DAC tells you that PCM arrives, not DSD ?

Just tried it out with Neutron 2.24.2 on Windows 11 and a DSD64 file, using Fiio KA1 DAC. Works well, if I activate "Settings > Audioa Hardware > Exclusive Access". The DAC tells me that it gets DSD.

You both are missing the main problem NOW. I cannot get the latest version to even boot up! All the other stuff your saying/suggesting would only be relevant if I could get the previous version.

Have written an email to dev. Hoping to get this resolved. Been a user for over 3 years so have a very good understanding of the features/settings.
