Library empty / folder view

I use Neutron on a Sony nw zx707, therefore mostly use it offline. Recently, I had rebooted the dap with the WIFI on and the library was showing only 1100 songs instead of my llfull library of 30000+. I'm not sure if the app updated my music library using an "online" cache somewhere, or if it is a bug. If I turn on the WiFi while having the app open, it never happened. It's just a pain to wait 2-3 hours for my whole library to update again, even so when I triage my music my pc.

I have one more inquiry, is it possible to use the folder view without having the scan the music? I use only the folder view with a cue file in almost all folders, therefore I'd like to have direct access to it.

You can exclude a source from automatic scanning by disabling its "Refresh" radiobutton on the right side in the list of sources. Also see here.

Mine does the same now. I can't play anything, tho, as my whole library is gone.

Last week, Dmitry posted an update for it but now that isn't working anymore since I downloaded it then and it's doing the issue again. I redownloaded it now and it fixes the issue again. Must just be a temporary fix.

Perhaps you updated from Google Play Store, then manually downloaded the generic version ?
For the app from Google Play Store on Android version > 10 you have to create special sources, see here .

Thanks for the replies.
Just a quick reply for clarifying:
1. I use solely the Google Play version (auto updates disabled).
2. The app was not updated.
3. I have only 1 source, the music folder within my SD card (using SAF).
4. Source refresh was disabled.
5. I enabled background service.


Yesterday, I deleted the source and added it again, let it scan all the music, and set the source to refresh, while being online.
A few hours ago, I booted the device while being offline, and everything showed up correctly. I'm guessing that should do it for now, if anything happens, I'll update this post.

I'm also thinking about breaking down the source into genre for example, it would would save a lot of time to refresh only where changes will be made in future.

If for some reasons a scan gets aborted the automatic refresh of the affected source might be switched off, that might affect further scans. So in case scanning doesn't work properly first check and if need be enable the checkboxes.

Got it! I have the full sd scanned, and the refresh button turned on. So far, no issues.

I'm still having this issue with my version. I tried Ankush's method but it cleared all the songs with ratings, which was a ton and really sucks!!

What's the fix (permanent fix)?? This is the third or fourth time now I've had this happen.

To clarify, I'm using the generic Android version downloaded from the website. I haven't mixed up the versions I downloaded like blaubar mentioned. I used the same apk each time.

I'm not sure I understand what the problem is. If a source is 1. properly defined and 2. marked as active and 3. marked as to be scanned and 4. constantly available then a scan is supposed to succeed and end in an appropriate time. If that doesn't work feel free to contact neutronmp@gmail.con for further analysis.
