Update iTunes Playcounts ( iOS )

hey all,

Having recently switched back to using an iPod Touch for music and easier syncing of music with iTunes - I was stoked to discover that there was also an iOS version of Neutron - sounding killer ( and love having cross fade back again ) .... but - like most music players don't use the system player, it doesn't appear to register playcounts/plays back with the iTunes library at all - which sadly makes using the app much of a non-starter for me ( I make heavy use of Smart playlists ).

Am I missing a setting somewhere? Or is there another app I can install that'll pick up/update playcounts - I suspect however unless one actually "plays" the song with the iTunes API nothing will be recorded tho - a question more for developers would be is there way a trick it - I had the thought of playing from the last second ( or even ms's of the song ) with someway of muting the system media audio ( man that sounds really hacky just reading it back ).

Anyway - is there a way of updating Plays when using Neutron?
