You mean you want to show the album art with every song ? That's not possible, there's no setting for that.

There's a proposal in the Development Forum to Make text in lists customizable - we could merge this topic to propose to make the track list even more configurable than proposed there by including the album art.

That's a nice feature to have making the list more configurable. I hope it will be implemented in the future releases. Thanks for the reply.

Album cover scrolling

Post by mcreilly » Sat Apr 23, 2022 7:30 am

I imagine that a large segment of users have physical music collections (vinyl, cds). One of the joys of a music collection is rifling through one’s albums to decide what to play next. Wrapped up in that activity, is the artwork on each album, which can jog memories of friends, gigs, emotions, etc. More often than not, the album cover is a work of art.

Unfortunately, in Neutron Player which I love and use every day, there is this overlay label detailing the album title, the artist, number of tracks, year and duration. As it’s a personal collection, I know the album and I see no need for these metrics to be displayed here.
  • Is there a button that I cannot find or a way to customise or remove these labels?
  • If not, I ask the developer team, can they please consider producing an option to remove the overlay labels so that we can once again rifle through the albums, similar to a physical collection.

No, there isn't. Yes, good idea. As this is a special case of making lists more configurable I've merged the topic into this existing development topic.

Reaching for the stars here, but here goes.

I'd personally love to have a 1xN (?) view of the album art, in addition to the 2xN (?) view shown in the screenshots above.

This way user definable album details could occupy the remaining space beneath the larger images.

Most of my album art images are in equal dimensions, width=height.

There are some outliers where width<height, where the album art is taken from a DVD or Blu-Ray audio release (these in dimensions similar to the art on the disc case, nothing extremely out of proportion).
Example:
517x775
517x775

Plus an odd few where width>height.
Example :
599x534

If square album art, and art such as these could be displayed larger in their original aspect ratio, and album details underneath, I think would be quite welcome!
