"Hidden" start mode

Post by Jacol11 » Thu May 28, 2020 11:26 am

Hi there,

I would ask for a new feature in Neutron - ability to start the player in "hidden" mode. I use Neutron in an Android car audio, it has great sound quality and usability. But at most time i prefer to see the Android screen with my own KWGT music widget to control Neutron. As the system starts every time I turn on the key from frozen mode, it is also required to start Neutron again (have selected the "stay in memory" mode, no effect). If Neutron could start with no screen displayed, I would be very grateful.

Did you try to switch on Settings > Connection and Controls > Play if Ouput Attached ?

Sorry for break, I could not check your hint earlier. I checked all options from this window and checked "Play when plugged in" option as well, but nothing has changed again. It looks like my radio has completely removed Neutron from memory every time I turn the key off. My radio has an option to start desired apps when turned on, but Neutron starts with normal (displayed) mode if used. Do you have any other hints how to make Neutron hidden on start? Or is there a chance to embed this option?

No, I don't think that's possible right now. So we'll take this as a feature request. Indeed the UI isn't necessary, with Neutron's own widget it works without the UI.
