Feature Request: system audio driver
Feature Request: system audio driver
Hi, i like Neutron player, but, with all dsp effects only to play from sound files...mmm, i wish to use Neutron at audio driver level, so i can use its dsp effects with, for example, Youtube, spotify, my android Games, etc...like others equalizers.
Can you do that? It may be fantastic.
Many Thanks.
Sorry, my english, i'm spanish.

Re: Feature Request: system audio driver
Do you want to you to use the sound effects of the device for Neutron's output ? Activating "Settings > Audio Hardware > DSP Effect (Device)" should do the trick.
---
Or do you want Neutron's DSP to work on the output of other apps ? That's not possible.
---
But if you can stream the output of other apps : Neutron can play streams.

Yes, i want Neutron's DSP to work on the output of other apps (youtube, spotify, netflix, etc) like others equalizers apps on google play.
The potential of Neutron's DPS is very high, but limited only to play music files...

Re: Feature Request: system audio driver
Yes, and that won't change. Unless you stream through Neutron.
Re: Feature Request: system audio driver
Because there's no way that an app could put itself into the flow of audio data from another app to the DAC ( digital-analog converter ). Now there are equalizer apps, but all these equalizer apps are nothing more than fancy user interfaces for the equalizer functionality that's built into the operating system.

Ok. But, it will be a great feature. On Windows is more easy to do it (equalizer apo, for example).blaubär wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 12:48 pmBecause there's no way that an app could put itself into the flow of audio data from another app to the DAC ( digital-analog converter ). Re: Feature Request: system audio driver
Thank you for the hint ! Yes, the problems with creating an equalizer app seem to be Android-specific.
