Basically they are the same - one would need a filter ( with regard to rating, genre, whatever ) on the existing list of artists/albums/folders, which itself is an aggregation of certain data fields from the list of tracks ... and this filtering seems to be problematic ... if I remember correctly the same problem was in PowerAmp from V3 on ... seems to be a general problem and perhaps would need a redesign of the player.blaubär wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 12:41 pmFrom a certain number of artists/folders/albums on a music collection on it takes a bit of time to navigate it. A lot of users will have some artists/folders/albums that they listen to more often than to others. It might come in handy if one could somehow classify certain artists/folders/albums as somehow special and then impose a filter on the list of artists/folders/albums so that only those classified thus are shown. For songs we have the ratings which we can use for this purpose.
Proposal : add the possibility to classify and filter artists/folders/albums
Genres view sorting configuration
Re: Genres view sorting configuration
Just thought a bit about this and possible reasons why it's not yet implemented ... have a look at the following proposal :
Player: Genre>Artist>Album instead of Genre>Album
A great feature of the Genre view in the library would be having the ability to display Genre>Artist>Album instead of Genre>Album. Most players do not have this library categorization, but a few do such as GoneMad, PlayerPro and USB Audio Player PRO and it is a very useful feature to have.

Detailed classification of music
Hello, I have purchased the iOS version and Android version of the software, but I found that because I have a lot of music, and your software's classification of music is not detailed enough, which makes it difficult for me to find the music I want to listen to
Hopefully you can make a more detailed music genre, if you look at radsone for iOS, you can find artists out of the genres and then you can find music that you want
However, you need to select the Album Arist option in the Settings of radsone software first, so that you can divide the music into details
There are multiple categories in the genre classification, while there are multiple album artists in each genre, and all music and albums in each album artist
genres(器乐) 〉album artist (村)> Albums and Songs

Re: Genres view sorting configuration
I merged some posts that deal with genre and artist. Generally they are treated separately, if we would want some sort of dependency we'd have to specify how that would be expected to work, and then we'd probably need some predefined artist-genre-table.
