NeutronMP: userauth_pubkey: key type ssh-rsa not in PubkeyAcceptedAlgorithms

Post by v-yadli » Tue Dec 07, 2021 1:37 pm

Dear devs,

I recently set up a NAS server with ArchLinux.
OpenSSH_8.8p1, OpenSSL 1.1.1l 24 Aug 2021

My ssh-rsa key pair is not working for NeutronMP for sftp.
The server sshd output this line:
`userauth_pubkey: key type ssh-rsa not in PubkeyAcceptedAlgorithms`
.. while in fact the key pair works for other clients for login/file copy etc.

A workaround can be found here:https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=270005
The root cause points here: https://www.openssh.com/txt/release-8.8
8.8 disabled old ssh-rsa algorithm by default, and other clients are using a newer protocol so it just works.
I guess Neutron will need an update to keep up with the servers? Do it early to prevent user complaints about sftp suddenly stop working after a system upgrade 😊

btw I tried email but it is rejected. So I'm posting the mail here.

Best,
YL

Yeah exactly this one, I got it from your other post :)
But my live.com mail server couldn't deliver.
I cannot even type the mail address in my post due to some IP filtering restrictions, but anyway.

If appropriate, could you kindly help to forward this message?
Thanks!
