Distorted Sound

I used the app to record a very important conversation. Unfortunately the sound is very distorted and therefore of no use. But the testing I did before was successful. What happened? Does anyone have an idea? Arnold

Could you describe the "distortion" ? When you look at the audio with an audio editor, do you see any clipping ?
