Tablet customization and landscape layout

Post by iganiats » Sun Aug 23, 2020 6:56 am

Please consider adding the coloring features to this excellent player.

A. Customize the GUI so it better fits large screens as found in tablets. Now Neutron when I use it in my Galaxy Tab S6, looks gigantic as if I was using a very big screen phone.
B. Add landscape support so I can better see names that are truncated in portrait mode.

B) Support for both portrait and landscape mode should work on all platforms, eg here on Samsung S9 :

A) Can you disable Settings > User Interface > Full Screen and then resize the app window, use multi window or pop-up view ? Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 - Use Multi Window

As for the landscaping mode mea culpa. I didn't noticed I had to enable it through settings.

As for the tablet mode I was thinking of second GUi that is tablet oriented just like some iOS applications have one look in iPhone and a different look in iPad.

Okay, you're right, when I put Neutron on Windows into fullscreen mode it looks a bit strange :

Of course on Windows the solution is to leave the fullscreen mode :-) but if that isn't possible because the tablet os doesn't have a windows manager then it might be good to have a defined limit for the screen size above which Neutron doesn't simply scale up but starts doing something different.

An idea for "something different" : show up two of the three screens ( equalizer, playing now, track list ) or all three side by side when a ( customizable ? ) limit for the screen size is exceeded. E.g. add a customizable minimum screen width MinWidth : if set to MinWidth = 1000 px and the real display width were bigger than 2 * MinWidth = 2000 px, then two screens would be placed side by side, if it were > 3000 px all three screens could be shown simultaneously.

landscape format - can I change the layout?

Post by Rod2 » Fri Apr 09, 2021 2:34 pm

I've recently switched my tablet to all landscape format -

Can I get Neutron to display the album art on one side, and all the other controls on the other?

Right now the controls are all lined up on the bottom, dont know how to change it

any help would be appreciated

I merged your post to this development proposal. Obviously Neutron doesn't support landscape mode well.

Real monitor size nowdays and you service

Post by Vladimir_0000013 » Tue Jan 04, 2022 8:26 pm
