Problems with 2.19.X

Hello,

After the 2.19.0 update which I think removes "All Files" permission from the player, I had some problems with my Sources and had to re-add them using SAF. However, when using SAF, the scan loops if it encounter a certain character (in my case '#') no matter if it's on the folder name or file name. In case of only the file's name has the character, the scan would finish but no file is added/processed.

Here's the screenshot of the scan looping:

The app doesn't find the music files in the folders. Every setting is lost.
I can't get the app playing.
And don't know what to do.
Could anybody help me?

Indeed, there's a new version 2.19, although we don't see it yet in the release notes here in the forum, only directly in the play store:

* New:
- targeted Android 11 as required by Google for new updates, Android 11+ users will only be able to use Scoped Storage file access now;
- DSD and DSD sub-settings, Oversample and Follow Source Frequency settings are managed by Profile now;
- ability to clear/refresh UPnP/Chromecast device list in Output To and Source - + - UPnP/DLNA.
! Fixed:
- AGP affecting FRC preset.
* All other improvements and fixes (2.18.5-1 - 2.18.5-5) see on Neutron's forum.

I suggest you write to neutronmp@gmail.com and indicate this bug. Until it is solved you could use 2.18.5-5 .

Perhaps it is normal that with 2.19 the Neutron Installation uses a new directory, so you'll perhaps have to re-set the settings. But perhaps that can be avoided by manually copying the contents of the directory from its old location to the new one. Ask the developers, they'll know.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, so now the music files were found.
Thanks for your suggestion of the new directory. I will try to copy the old settings

No, on my old Samsung nothing big has changed.

I cant find a new folder. I started a search, but only the old folder could be found.
I have the same issue with a notes app. My lists and notes are saved, but I can't figure out where...

You'd need root (or ADB is enough, maybe). The new folder is located here /data/data/com.neutroncode.mp/files/NeutronMP
